Record 0 - 0 - 0
2005 marked the inaugural season for the Boston Senators. The first season was characterized by many ups and downs, but overall it was a success with the team finishing in 3rd place out of 9 in the Bay State division with a record of 15-10-1. Unfortunately, the Senators came up short in the first round of the playoffs, losing a heart-breaker in the decisive game. In 2006, we expect to have as much fun with even more success.
To compliment our strong core, we're looking to fill open roster spots with highly talented players who are at least 18 years of age. College level experience is preferred but certainly not required. Pitching is our number one priority. However, other starting positions exist as well.
The season runs from April/May to September, but we usually begin workouts in January. In 2005, we participated the in Cooperstown Classic, a tournament held at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, NY. I expect the Senators will participate again in 2006. Unfortunately this is not a free league. However we may look for sponsors. Team fees can run anywhere between $300-$500.
